ANED website launched at www.disability-europe.net
In two weeks time we have our first annual meeting of the Academic Network of European Disability experts (ANED). This reminded me that I still had to announce its website, which we developed during its first year. An important requirement for any site, accessibility for people with a disability, was of course taken very seriously for this particular site. To ensure that the site would meet that requirement we asked Userite to test the site before launching and we can now state that the website complies with W3C Accessibility Initiative Guidelines (WAIG) for priority level 2 (WAI/AA).
ANED has worked on a number of themes this year, among them an analysis how disability is taken in consideration in national policies on employment and on social inclusion. Country reports and a synthesis report will be published on the ANED website.
